Election results

Thursday saw a fantastic turnout for both the General and Local Elections. A really good result for the Conservative Party who gained 24 seats to take an overall majority.

Locally the party managed to secure 31 of the 36 available seats, demonstrating the faith people have in their Conservative representatives. Many new names and a few familiar faces gives us a fantastic opportunity to move the district forward in a positive manner.

The turnout and result for Snitterfield Ward is as follows:

Snitterfield – Turnout 76.8%
John Hartigan – Labour – 196
Hebe Hetherington – Green – 211
Peter Richards – Conservative* – 1488 Elected
