Stratford on Avon District Councillor

Peter Richards

is the Conservative Candidate for Snitterfield Ward including the villages of Snitterfield, Claverdon, Charlecote, Hampton Lucy and Wolverton.

Peter lives locally with his partner, Emma. He runs a financial business in Stratford-upon-Avon and in his spare time he coaches junior cricket for both Warwickshire and Stratford where he sits on the committee as Director of Junior Cricket. He also enjoys many other sports, in particular playing rugby for Claverdon and golf at The Welcombe.

In the last few years Peter has run several marathons and triathlons for local and national charities, including two London Marathons and four London Triathlons.  He is targeting an Ironman in the next few years so you will no doubt see him out cycling or running especially while delivering your InTouch leaflets.

Peter believes that supporting the local community is paramount in driving forward local businesses and developing a better place to live.  His priorities include local planning issues, transport links, rural broadband for both domestic and business use, education and healthcare, in particular care for the elderly.

He will campaign to keep Council Taxes to a minimum, promote local services, lobby for more community transport and, through planning, enhance the character of your local villages.
